Jacob Suplicki was born on June 18, 1851, in Poland and died June 17, 1932, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He married Marcella Malek Abt. 1871 in Poland, duaghter of Albert Malek and Mary Rent. Marcella was born December 34, 1849 in Poland, and died January 5, 1926 in Stevens Point, Wiscsonin.
Jacob and Marcella married in Poland and had a baby daughter, Francisca. Jacob came to America in 1872, leaving his wife and daughter in Poland. Jacob worked on a farm in the Town of Hull, Portage County, Wisconsin, for three years and then saved enough money to send for his wife and daughter to come to this country. the family lived in the Town of Hull until 1900, when they moved to Stevens Point. After his wife died Jacob moved in with his son, Anton, and lived with his family.
Jacob referred to himself as "Sayoks" or high class polish people. Kashuba's, who also lived in Stevens Point, were known as "low Polish"
