The Way There

On the way to the airport...oh my goodness I was nervous. It was my first time on a plane since 9/11, it was 4 in the morning, and I hadn't eaten anything at all. Plus, I was still tired from all the holiday activity, since it was December the 26th. But still, I was excited. I said a slightly teary goodbye to my parents and did what everyone else was doing. Wait. The line to check our bags was horrendous, but I made it through. Luckily for me, I also made it through security quickly, and was left with nothing to do but buy a whole bunch of magazines, three thingies of orange tic tacs, and wait. So wait I did. I ate two of the things of tic tacs before we even boarded the plane. I really like orange ones.

Amanda, me, and Staci waiting...messing around...being tired...whatever you want to call it. When we were finally able to board, we had to wait for another hour or so before we could actually leave. Security delays totally messed everything up. So we waited. and waited. and waited some more.

We whined. (above: Britta whining) We were bored. But it was fun. We finally took off, and most people made it past that, and went to sleep. I, on the other hand, did not. I colored pictures in Staci's coloring book and wrote cards to my relatives and Melissa and I wrote a letter to Jim. We got there later then expected, but oh well. We were IN Boston!!! Who cares if we were late? We settled into the hotel, and it was time to go already. Time to go out and see...BOSTON!!!!! We headed to The Aquarium
